Some of Sarah Ferguson<\/strong>\u2018s former staffers were allegedly left in tears while working for the embattled royal, according to new claims made by royal author Andrew Lownie<\/strong>, Wonderwall.com<\/em><\/a> can report.<\/p>\n

Lownie \u2014 who just released the paperback edition of his 2025 book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which includes a 10,000-word update with new revelations \u2014 painted a picture of a roller-coaster atmosphere surrounding the former Duchess of York\u2019s household, including claims that employees sometimes quit after only hours on the job.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Page Six<\/em><\/a>, Lownie said working for Ferguson, 66, was \u201cabsolutely chaotic,\u201d largely due to what he described as her impulsive behavior and inability to make decisions.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe couldn\u2019t make up her mind,\u201d the author alleged. \u201cShe changed her mind at the last minute.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Lownie, the constant unpredictability created difficult working conditions. Staff morale was allegedly so poor that some employees cried behind closed doors. \u201cPeople [were] weeping in bathrooms,\u201d he said, adding that some workers quit after \u201chalf a day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The author also said those who remained employed by Ferguson quickly discovered the role became all-consuming. \u201cVery few people stayed,\u201d Lownie claimed. \u201cAnd if they did, it was a sort of 24-hour-a-day job because she has this extraordinary energy, and she would be flying off in different places, not very organized.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lownie also accused Ferguson of maintaining a wasteful lifestyle where meals would frequently be prepared, then abandoned at the last minute.<\/p>\n

\u201c[There were] various meals being prepared and then [she wouldn\u2019t have] any of them,\u201d he said, describing situations where chefs would cook elaborate dishes only for Ferguson to suddenly decide to dine out instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cHuge waste,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s extraordinary\u2026 everything has to be new.\u201d<\/p>\n

The author went on to compare her lifestyle to \u201cthis Marie Antoinette kind of life, you know, easy come, easy go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Lownie described Ferguson as \u201cvery manipulative,\u201d alleging she \u201cplayed people against each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese people kind of got dragged into her crazy schemes,\u201d he said, referencing business ventures ranging from a lingerie line to an artist colony in the Bahamas.<\/p>\n

The historian further claimed that many of the duchess\u2019 projects were ultimately \u201cabout trying to fleece someone out of some money.\u201d<\/p>\n
