Ball State University will host its second annual We Fly Fest<\/a> from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at the Brown Family Amphitheater<\/a>. This free, on-campus community event is open to the public and will feature games and activities, live music by Ball State student bands, campus bus tours, food trucks, giveaways, and more for the whole family.<\/p>\n \u201cWe Fly Fest reflects Ball State\u2019s enduring commitment to fostering strong connections between our campus and the community,\u201d said Ball State President Geoffrey S. Mearns<\/a>. \u201cAfter the success of last year\u2019s inaugural event, I look forward to welcoming our friends and neighbors back to campus as we continue building on this celebration and sharing the best of what Ball State has to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n We Fly Fest attendees are encouraged to begin at the Welcome Tent, where they can pick up free Ball State giveaways while supplies last. The event will include information tables and activities hosted by Ball State colleges, departments, and campus partners; lawn games; food trucks; live performances by Ball State student-led bands; and appearances by Charlie Cardinal<\/a>. Miss Ball State Katey Cooper<\/a> will serve as emcee.<\/p>\n The first 500 attendees will receive vouchers for a free scoop of ice cream at the Vivian V. Conley and Hurley C. Goodall Jr. Multicultural Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n Fest attendees are also invited to explore campus through the Student Experience Bus Tour, which will highlight student housing, recreation, athletics, academic buildings, and other opportunities at Ball State. Tours will be offered at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n We Fly Fest Parking Community Bus Stops Approximate pickup times from the community bus stops are 3:45, 4:15, 4:45, 5:15, and 5:45 p.m. The final buses returning from campus to the community stops will depart at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n The Canan Commons stop will be available after Ball State PBS\u2019 Be My Neighbor Day<\/a> event, scheduled from 1-4 p.m. that day.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>Parking is free in all campus parking lots and garages on weekends. Guests are encouraged to look for \u201cFree Parking Today\u201d signs near lots closest to the Brown Family Amphitheater, including the New York Parking Garage<\/a> at 1001 N. New York Ave.<\/p>\n
