In an essay for Glamour,<\/em> Keltie Knight opened up about her struggle to compete with Hollywood’s beauty standards and undergoing a facelift at 41<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The host and podcaster said that her procedure took almost nine hours because of excess scar tissue in her face<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Knight first revealed she’d had a facelift on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Keltie Knight<\/a> is opening up about “hating” herself after getting a facelift.<\/p>\n In an essay for Glamour<\/em><\/a> published on Tuesday, May 26, the host and podcaster, 44, detailed her struggle with Hollywood’s beauty standards, which ultimately led to her undergoing the procedure at 41.<\/p>\n Knight shared that she had a “minimally invasive neck lift” at 35 to address some loose skin after her doctor said she was too young for a full facelift. Five years later, she came back for a facelift, which she says took hours longer than expected.<\/p>\n “My surgery was initially supposed to be three or four hours, and instead it was almost nine,” she told Glamour. <\/em>“That\u2019s because when Dr. Diamond pulled back my face, there was so much scar tissue from the filler and the threads and the microneedling and all the medi-spa s— I had done that it was basically frying my face underneath.”<\/p>\n Regardless, Knight said her facelift is “the best thing I ever did even though it was so expensive.”<\/p>\n Keltie Knight. The Emmy-winning host also admitted that she was “disgusted” with herself for having a facelift while she was battling a blood disease<\/a> that eventually resulted in a hysterectomy in early 2024.<\/p>\n “I wanted to do the facelift before taking care of an actual medical issue,” she said. “I was disgusted with myself. It was like, I want to die because of my uterine condition, but I\u2019m going to fix my face first.”<\/p>\n Knight explained that comments from internet critics began to take a toll on her self-esteem.<\/p>\n “My work was literally speaking for itself, but I couldn\u2019t see past what I thought I looked like,” she recalled. “Then, as is often the case with women in some form of the public eye, the trolls started coming for me. At first they were like, ‘Her face looks like a horse.’ Then it was, ‘She\u2019s got buttholes for eyes.’ And then it was like, ‘Is that Steven Tyler?'”<\/p>\n She continued, “Even though I know the internet isn\u2019t the final word on anything, there are only so many times you can hear that about yourself and then confirm it with your own eyes in the edit bay watching my interviews. Plus, I\u2019m standing next to the most gorgeous people on the planet. There\u2019s a reason movie stars are movie stars. Same with models. What if that actually is freeing?”<\/p>\n Knight “accidentally” revealed her procedure in the April 9 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. <\/em>In an Instagram post<\/a> shared on April 12, she reshared a clip in which she tells Dorit Kemsley that she got a facelift after the star tells her that she’s “aging backwards.”<\/p>\n Knight explained that the “full story” is told in her book, which will be published on Nov. 17 and is accompanied by “intense” behind-the scenes photos of everything from the surgery to her recovery.<\/p>\n Read the original article on People<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
