Chelsea Handler<\/strong><\/a> is recalling her one memorable encounter with Bobby Flay.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I went on a date with Bobby Flay. That was pretty bad,\u201d Handler, 51, said on the Tuesday, May 26, episode of the \u201cLet\u2019s Be Honest\u201d<\/a> podcast, after host Kristin Cavallari<\/strong> asked if she had a \u201cbad celebrity date story\u201d to share.<\/p>\n

Handler continued, \u201cIt was just bad. Everything. He ordered me room service. So we were talking \u2014 someone hooked us up \u2014- we were talking on the phone, flirting a little bit. I was at a hotel with some girlfriends. I think we were filming for Netflix.\u201d<\/p>\n

Handler recalled that the pair were somewhere in the United States, noting that Flay \u201cknew the hotel well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williamson was one of Flay\u2019s hand-picked \u201ctitans\u201d for the reality cooking show, which premiered in September 2022. \u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018Oh my God.\u2019 He wanted to order me room service food for us. He\u2019s like, \u2018Let me order your food for you. I love that hotel.\u2019 Maybe it was Vegas or something. I usually can remember these details. Anyway, he orders me food. He\u2019s going to love this. This is somebody I don\u2019t mind incriminating,\u201d he said. \u201cThree of my girls are in the room with me and he\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m going to order it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cBut then they brought me the bill. And I\u2019m like, \u2018What is this guy?\u2019 And then somebody was like, \u2018Oh yeah, he\u2019s really cheap. He\u2019s really cheap.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Oh, I hate cheap.\u2019 \u2026 I\u2019m generous and I like people to be generous with their money.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair ultimately went on another date, but Handler did not feel like it went well.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did end up going on a date and it was just not a match,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was just messy.\u201d<\/p>\n
