This story contains spoilers for the <\/strong><\/em>Marshals<\/strong> <\/em>season 1 finale<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and beyond. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Say what you will about Marshals<\/em><\/a>, but the Yellowstone <\/em>spin-off<\/a> was anything but dull in the finale. After Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes<\/a>) and his team of U.S. Marshals stopped an assassination attempt on Broken Rock Reservation chairman Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham), the CBS series dropped the curtain and unveiled the real villain behind the assault. Then a second attack left every character\u2019s fate up for grabs, including Kayce and his son, Tate (Brecken Merrill).<\/p>\n

At the end of the Marshals<\/em> finale<\/a>, Tate goes off with Tom on a fishing trip while Weaver leaves his daughter, Dolly (Ellyn Jameson) to entertain Kayce alone. Meanwhile, Cal (Logan Marshall-Green) and Belle (Arielle Kebbel) face gunfire while investigating another suspect. Weaver\u2019s foreman informs him that the deed is done, and he boards a jet with Tate before the series leaves us on the edge of our seats until season 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But why wait? Season 2 may not air until October (at the earliest), and the stars of Marshals <\/em>are already doing interviews in which they spoil who survives and who doesn\u2019t. Major spoilers ahead, of course. But shockingly\u2014or perhaps not\u2014it sounds like everyone returns.<\/p>\n

As Logan Marshall-Green told<\/a> The Hollywood Reporter <\/em>following the finale, he\u2019s already filming scenes for Cal in season 2. \u201cI can confirm he is alive, but not necessarily unscathed,\u201d he said. Want more? Marshall-Green also admitted that \u201cI can confirm that for everybody in the damn show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hours away of shooting [season 2, episode 1],\u201d he continued. \u201cI can tell you that we\u2019re all going through things\u2014without giving anything away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Same goes for Arielle Kebbel. She told the outlet that her character Belle doesn\u2019t just return but that her head is \u201cdeep into season 2 already.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe pick up immediately in season 2 where we left off,\u201d she confirmed. \u201cEspecially with the Weaver ranch and the looming circumstances there. I think people may be surprised to see just how bad it gets.\u201d<\/p>\n

I hope so! Because other than Kayce\u2019s fate (probably fine!) or his son\u2019s (also probably okay!), there\u2019s little left to be surprised by when the series returns.<\/p>\n
