Of course Billy Ray Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> was a heartthrob in the \u201990s after dropping his hit song \u201cAchy Breaky Heart,\u201d and people often forget that he actually had several other great songs like \u201cWords By Heart,\u201d \u201cCould\u2019ve Been Me,\u201d \u201cIn the Heart of a Woman,\u201d and \u201cSome Gave All.\u201d Honestly, he had a lot of hits.<\/p>\n These days, though, it seems that his voice ain\u2019t what it used to be\u2026and that\u2019s putting it mildly.<\/p>\n You probably remember his disastrous performance during President Donald Trump\u2019s inaugural ball last year, when not only did he face technical issues but he also had people concerned for his well being \u2013 and his voice.<\/p>\n It\u2019s clear that time (or something else\u2026) has taken its toll on Billy Ray\u2019s vocal cords. His voice is much deeper and gravelly, and most of the time he ends up talking rather than singing these days. It sounds more like Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 than a country superstar.<\/p>\n And hey, kudos to Billy Ray for continuing to put himself out there, but at some point it might be time to hang it up\u2026and after hearing a teaser for his latest song, fans apparently think he\u2019s getting close to that time.<\/p>\n Billy Ray shared a clip of the new song called \u201cIt\u2019s Alright,\u201d which is dropping on June 5. And it\u2019s\u2026well, it\u2019s something.<\/p>\n Yeah, honestly I don\u2019t even really know what to say. Between the monotone voice and the sing-talking it\u2019s hard to believe that\u2019s the same guy who sang \u201cAchy Breaky Heart.\u201d<\/p>\n And that\u2019s before we even get into the lyrics:<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been trying to make a new plan<\/em> I mean, what are we doing here?
