But just like “I Keep Thinking About You Every Single Day and Night,” the B-side to her previous single, “Rock Music,” “Playboy Bunny” is only available on a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl and via the artist’s B-sides-specific Instagram account.

The B-side tracks will not be released on streaming platforms, and that’s very deliberate. The artist explained the thought process behind the move, as well as the reason for releasing B-side tracks in the first place.

“The B-sides are never going to go on streaming, I don’t think. That could change, but right now I don’t really think. […] I really just wanted them to live here, on [her B-sides Instagram account], and then also I will press each B-side to a 7-inch vinyl.”

“Basically, I made a record, and while making a record, I made a few songs that felt like a part of the world of the album, but I kind of knew they weren’t ever going to be on the album,” she said.

“So, they became the sort of B-sides, I suppose. The things that were close to making it on the album, but are not going to be on there. And also, those songs are coupled with some of the songs that are coming out ahead of the album.”

“The reason that they’re paired together, these two songs, are because, in ways, they’re totally opposite from each other, and that is [kind] of the main point of them,” Charli explained.

“It’s sort of a mirror… there are specifically sonic things about it that are extremely opposite to ‘SS26,’ and I think that’s what made it a good B-side, a good pair.”

Despite releasing new material, the details surrounding her new album remain somewhat sparse. Charli has released deluxe and remix versions of 2024’s BRAT, a companion album for the film Wuthering Heights, as well as her mockumentary, The Moment, in January.

She will also headline several festivals this summer, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza on July 31, and the UK’s Reading and Leeds on August 28 and 29, respectively.

‘ The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties ’

‘ Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.digitalmusicnews.com ’

Photo Credit: Charli XCX for Rogue Artists / CC by 3.0 Charli XCX releases new music in an unusual way: by dropping the B-side to her latest single, “SS26,” and making it unavailable on streaming platforms.
