Iwamasa,\u00a0was sentenced to 41 months in prison on Wednesday for his role in the actor\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/12\/15\/celebrity-news\/matthew-perrys-official-cause-of-death-revealed\/\">fatal ketamine overdose<\/a>, according to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/matthew-perry-assistant-kenneth-iwamasa-prison-sentence-8707235\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett ordered Iwamasa, 60, to pay separate fines of $10,000 and $100 and be on supervised released for two years.<\/p>\n<p>He must report to prison by July 17, per People.<\/p>\n<figure asked Garnett to sentence Iwamasa to three years and five months behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Iwamasa\u2019s lawyers said in a court filing he was merely doing his employer\u2019s bidding and had a \u201cparticular vulnerability\u201d in his relationship to Perry where he <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/22\/celebrity-news\/matthew-perrys-assistant-claims-he-couldnt-say-no-to-late-actor-begs-for-lighter-sentence\/\">couldn\u2019t \u201csimply say no\u201d<\/a> to the late actor.<\/p>\n<p>In a victim impact statement, Perry\u2019s sisters, Madeline and Caitlin Morrison, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/26\/celebrity-news\/matthew-perrys-sisters-blast-actors-assistant-who-repeatedly-injected-him-with-ketamine-left-him-in-a-hot-tub-to-die\/\">accused Iwamasa of \u201crepeatedly\u201d injecting Perry<\/a> with ketamine and leaving him \u201cto die\u201d in his hot tub in October 2023.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Prosecutors asked the judge to sentence Iwamasa to over three years in prison before the sentencing. <span class=\"credit\">@kenny-iwamasa<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Iwamasa\u2019s lawyers said he was doing Perry\u2019s bidding when he gave the actor the fatal ketamine. <span class=\"credit\">matthewperry4\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The pair claimed that Iwamasa allegedly lied to Perry\u2019s relatives about what occurred <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/10\/28\/entertainment\/friends-star-matthew-perry-dead-at-age-54-of-apparent-drowning-report\/\">the day he died<\/a> at his Pacific Palisades, California, home.<\/p>\n<p>Madeline also slammed Iwamasa for speaking at <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/11\/03\/entertainment\/matthew-perrys-family-seen-at-cemetery-6-days-after-friends-stars-death\/\">Perry\u2019s funeral<\/a> in November 2023.<\/p>\n<p>In her own letter to the judge,<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/20\/celebrity-news\/matthew-perrys-mom-blasts-late-actors-assistant-for-funeral-behavior\/\"> Perry\u2019s mother, Suzanne Morrison,<\/a> accused Iwamasa of failing at his job of being Perry\u2019s \u201ccompanion and guardian in his fight against addiction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe trusted a man without a conscience, and my son paid the price,\u201d Suzanne shared.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa Calio, a former employee of Perry\u2019s, claimed in a letter of her own that Iwamasa <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/27\/celebrity-news\/matthew-perrys-assistant-drove-around-in-actors-car-after-his-death-report\/\">drove around in Perry\u2019s car<\/a> after his death.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Perry\u2019s family members accused Iwamasa of \u201crepeatedly\u201d injecting the Perry\u2019s \u201ccompanion and guardian in his fight against addiction.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">YouTube\/TODAY<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Perry had hired Iwamasa in 2022, paying him $150,000 a year to live at his Los Angeles home and act as his assistant.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAlly McBeal\u201d actor, who <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/08\/16\/celebrity-news\/matthew-perry-was-spiraling-out-of-control-with-his-addiction-before-ketamine-death-arrested-doctor\/\">battled drug addiction<\/a>, was on \u201cketamine infusion therapy\u201d\u00a0leading up to his passing. <\/p>\n<p>Iwamasa injected Perry with illegal doses of the drug\u00a0\u201cwithout medical training,\u201d which resulted in Perry\u2019s death at age 54.<\/p>\n<p>Four others were <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/08\/15\/entertainment\/5-people-charged-in-connection-to-matthew-perrys-death-from-ketamine\/\">charged in connection<\/a>\u00a0with Perry\u2019s death: Dr. Mark Chavez, drug counselor Erik Fleming,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/08\/17\/celebrity-news\/ketamine-queen-jasveen-sangha-went-to-japan-right-after-matthew-perry-died\/\">\u201cKetamine Queen\u201d Jasveen Sangha<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Dr. Salvador Plasencia.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Perry (seen above in 2016) died at 54 years old in
