Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/a>\u2019s revelation that she had a face-lift that cost more than she ever paid for a car is pure poetry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

O\u2019Donnell set her nip-and-tuck tale to verse in a Substack post<\/a> on Tuesday in one of the more novel celebrity confessions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI used to feel very strongly about facelifts,\u201d she wrote in the poem. \u201cNot casually – morally. \/ I had assigned myself as head \/ of all women who would never – ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But later, she said, \u201cThere\u2019s a point where acceptance \/ starts to feel like lying.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

O\u2019Donnell said she went through with a procedure in January to rejuvenate her lower face and neck, noting that she didn\u2019t want to overdo it \u2015 just look \u201cless haunted.\u201d The result, she noted, was a \u201cslightly more well-rested emotionally stable version of me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Other people\u2019s reactions, however, were a different story.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAnd guess what – no one has noticed,\u201d she wrote. \u201cNot one person. \/ Not a friend, not a stranger, \/ not even people who owe me compliments \/ My teenager has not said a word. Nothing. \/ I went through a full existential feminist crisis, \/ had my face and neck surgically altered, \/ and the result is\u2026 zippo.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The guilt didn\u2019t help, either.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt cost more money \/ Than I have ever paid for a car \/ such is my privileged place in this world,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd that feels almost shameful to me \/ The things I have – \/ Earned some say \/ But its the gross excess that wounds me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

O\u2019Donnell concluded on an upbeat note, noting that she\u2019s \u201chappier than I\u2019ve been in years.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She posted before and after photos on Instagram.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The comedian and \u201cA League of Their Own\u201d star applied for Irish citizenship last year, prompting a snide response<\/a> from a rep for her longtime nemesis, President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
