Ruby Lake Resort on the Sunshine Coast shared a photo of Canadian music icon Joni Mitchell and\u00a0Almost Famous writer and director Cameron Crowe.<\/p>\n

The resort wrote on social media that Mitchell and Crowe\u2019s appearance was an \u201cunexpected and beautiful surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother Aldo and Paolo created a special dinner for all of us,\u201d added the resort in a post on Facebook<\/a>. \u201cFresh burrata, prawns, bruschetta on homemade focaccia, wild sockeye salmon, gnocchi\u2026 honest, soulful Italian food made with love.<\/p>\n

She also received the Gold Medal from the Royal Canadian Geographical Society for extraordinary contributions to Canadian and international culture. The ceremony was held at Ruby Lake Resort last summer.<\/p>\n
