They <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/exclaim.ca\/music\/article\/all-male_girl_band_announce_name_change_issue_apology_for_choosing_a_misgendered_name\">apologized and changed their name<\/a> to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/exclaim.ca\/artists\/gilla_band\">Gilla Band<\/a> in 2021, and the noise-rockers have now returned with plans for a North American tour and the release of their first new music in almost four years.<\/p>\n<p>Shared alongside the new single &#8220;Giraffe,&#8221; the Dublin-based quartet will make their way to Canada for gigs in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver amid their fall North American trek, which kicks off on October 14 in Philadelphia, PA. They&#8217;ll play Montreal&#8217;s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/exclaim.ca\/venues\/montreal\/thtre-fairmount\">Fairmount Theatre<\/a> on October 19, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/exclaim.ca\/venues\/toronto\/lees-palace\">Lee&#8217;s Palace<\/a> in Toronto on October 20 and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/exclaim.ca\/venues\/vancouver\/the-pearl\">the Pearl<\/a> in Vancouver on October 31, ahead of wrapping the run stateside the following month.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gillaband.com\/#live\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tickets<\/a> go on sale this Friday (May 29) at 10 a.m. local time.
