The Times asked Victoria Beckham if she plans to retire and she said no, which is a very obvious answer<\/a>. She\u2019s in her 50s and her company is not a licensing deal, she actually runs it. Which is why it\u2019s so shocking to me that the comments are filled with \u201cretire from what? He\u2019s also signed on to work with Elizabeth Banks on an Apple TV project about a \u201crecent divorcee managing her father\u2019s retirement home hookups.\u201d Two doesn\u2019t make a trend but Netflix also has The Boroughs<\/em>, a sci-fi thriller set in a New Mexico retirement community, which is picking up some buzz. Ageism on TV has been studied (this report from Geena Davis Institute<\/a> has some really interesting stats, but is a bit dated) and to put it in plain terms, older people are underrepresented, older women are really underrepresented and seniors are often portrayed as comedic foils (forgetful and fumbling) or villains. There are specific shows totally against that grain, like Hacks,<\/em> and Elizabeth Perkins recently spoke about it in an interview\u00a0with Woman\u2019s World Magazine.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The girls were out for Longchamp last night (in-store events are so back).
