Jesse Watters\u2019 <\/a>mockery of Texas Senate candidate James Talarico<\/a> on Wednesday night came back to haunt him after social media reminded him of his own awkward romantic history. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During a segment on \u201cThe Five,\u201d t<\/span>he Fox News <\/a>host snidely suggested that the 37-year-old Texas Democrat is both gay and vegan despite no evidence, and hinted that Talarico must be hiding something since he has yet to publicly introduce his as-yet-unidentified girlfriend of four years to voters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Watters wondered if she even existed before asking rhetorically, \u201cWe\u2019re gonna find out because, if he wins, are they going to have a coming-out party? Or is she still going to stay the secret girlfriend? And is this totally-not-fake girlfriend also a vegan?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Watters: Talarico is also 37 and not married. He says he has a girlfriend. He called her his best friend. He\u2019s not revealing her identity because he wants to protect her privacy. Sadly for Watters, his mockery of Talarico\u2019s personal life didn\u2019t hit the way he intended.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That\u2019s because many people on social media used the attempted Talarico takedown as an excuse to point out Watters\u2019 own messy love life \u2015 most notably, that he cheated on his first wife with a Fox News producer<\/a> he wooed by letting the air out of her tires.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
