Kelly Clarkson<\/a> briefly teared up on-air Thursday when her talk show\u2019s imminent conclusion<\/a> came up in conversation. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The moment came as Clarkson was chatting with actor and singer Rita Wilson<\/a>, who is currently promoting a new album, \u201cSound of a Woman.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Shortly before their conversation came to an end, Wilson thanked Clarkson for \u201cliterally changing the game when it came to daytime television.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThe fact that you love music, that you have brought so much music to daytime, that you have shared with us your voice, your gifts and everyone else\u2019s, and your incredible band … I really want to thank you because it has made a big change in my life,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo thank you, Kelly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At that point, Clarkson became visibly emotional and gestured to her camera crew, as if to urge them to stop filming. After taking a moment to compose herself, however, the host leaned in for a hug with Wilson. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
