Joy Behar confirmed she was leaving the \u201cThe View\u201d for a few weeks to perform her stage play \u201cMy First Ex-Husband\u201d on London\u2019s West End. But she also took a shot at the MAGA faithful in a podcast for the talk show shared Tuesday. (Watch the video below.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Executive producer Brian Teta, the host of \u201cBehind the Table,\u201d noted a study found that \u201cbonding over a shared dislike of a person or a topic generates a stronger sense of connection and trust than bonding over a shared interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo the enemy of my enemy is my friend,\u201d Behar summed up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThat is basically the story of the Trump supporter,\u201d she continued. \u201cThat they are bonding over \u2018we\u2019re getting the liberals.\u2019 … And I think that keeps them going even though all of the policies are against them. The fact that they\u2019re owning the libs makes them bond and feel like they have to keep supporting this president. At one point though I think they\u2019re gonna realize that the policies are harming them more than they are owning the libs.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhen that day comes we\u2019ll have a nice glass of champagne,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump\u2019s low approval ratings<\/a> due in part to his war in Iran and its economic impact seem to indicate Behar might be closer to that toast than ever.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At least now she\u2019ll be out of the country if there\u2019s more blowback.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
