Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> called out Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth<\/a> on Wednesday for a reported massive error that earned him the wrath of President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kimmel played clips of Trump\u2019s Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, which featured the usual round<\/a> of members of his administration kissing up to him in public.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cNo one was more effusive today than Pete Hegseth, who for Trump has been a bigger screwup than Eric<\/a>,\u201d he said, referring to one of the president\u2019s three sons. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Hegseth earlier this month canceled the deployment of 4,000 U.S. troops to Poland, a move that reportedly surprised<\/a> the Pentagon and European officials and ticked off his boss. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Daily Beast reported<\/a> that Hegseth got \u201can angry phone call\u201d from the president, who wanted to know<\/a> why he canceled the deployment \u2015 and had to explain he was mad at Germany, not Poland. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYou know, we\u2019ve all made mistakes,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cBut only Pete Hegseth can make a \u2018Donald Trump knows more about Poland than I do\u2019-caliber mistake.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kimmel sarcastically suggested that it was easy to see how Hegseth made the error.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cYou try telling the difference between Poland and Germany after 16 Coors Lights,\u201d he said, a crack about Hegseth\u2019s reported drinking habits<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s hard.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kimmel pointed out that, when he was younger, Polish jokes were a staple of comedy. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cNow, thanks to Pete Hegseth, the Polish are making those jokes about us,\u201d he cracked. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n See more in his Wednesday night monologue: <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
