Reality TV star Chloe Lewis has paid tribute to her \u201cfirst love\u201d and \u201cchildhood sweetheart\u201d Jake Hall following his sudden death aged 35.<\/p>\n
The pair dated in their teenage years and both went on to star in The Only Way Is Essex (Towie) where they were known for their tumultuous on-off relationship which finally ended in 2016 after almost a decade together.<\/p>\n
Lewis, 35, has remembered her ex-boyfriend as \u201csuch a massive and special part of my life\u201d, and said that loving him \u201ctaught me so much about life and myself\u201d.<\/p>\n
The star shared the lengthy tribute to Instagram on Friday, which featured a video compilation of throwback snaps and videos of the pair through the years set to Ordinary People by John Legend.<\/p>\n
She wrote: \u201cMy first love, my childhood sweetheart. A love that taught me so much about life and myself, and even more so now your presence is no longer here.<\/p>\n
\u201cA complete pain in the arse most of the time, but always with the purest heart and the greatest soul. You touched so many lives and meant well in everything you did.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lewis also reflected on how being a father to his eight-year-old daughter River was \u201cthe most important thing\u201d to Hall and praised him for making parenthood \u201clook so easy and effortless\u201d.<\/p>\n
She recounted how they were \u201cinseparable\u201d after meeting at a bar aged 16 and said he made her \u201cfeel like I was the most wonderful person you had ever met\u201d.<\/p>\n
Lewis told of the difficulties navigating their youth and their relationship while on hit ITV reality series Towie, saying: \u201cBeing in the public eye wasn\u2019t really what we wanted, but it all just happened so quickly and it took over our relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a huge struggle for me and mentally hurt us both.\u201d<\/p>\n
The star explained how the track by pop star Legend, which accompanied the video, is \u201cour song\u201d and recounted how Hall once sang it to her \u201cwith your cheeky smile and love in your eyes\u201d.<\/p>\n
She also reflected on how the weeks since his death have \u201cfelt very surreal\u201d as she does not know how to process the loss, writing: \u201cYou were such a massive and special part of my life, and I truly hoped that we would grow old, that I\u2019d see you one day, happy and at peace with life.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019d smile at each other and be grateful that life had been good to us. But now I know that God had better plans for you.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said that \u201cheartache echoes through the world\u201d for Hall and that she has \u201cnever seen so many people pour their love out for one person\u201d, before concluding the post by writing he will be in her thoughts forever.<\/p>\n
Lewis added: \u201cI\u2019m sorry I couldn\u2019t have saved you.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comments were flooded with fans and stars alike offering their well-wishes, including former co-stars Georgia Kousoulou and Jessica Wright, singer Mimi Webb and TV personality Vicky Pattison.<\/p>\n
Hall was best known for his almost decade-long stint on Towie, having joined in 2015 and quit in 2024, and also ran a menswear brand called By Jake Hall.<\/p>\n
He was found dead earlier this month at a holiday villa in Majorca and tributes have since continued to pour in with the mother of his child, Misse Beqiri, saying that her and her daughter\u2019s hearts have been \u201cshattered\u201d by the loss.<\/p>\n
Reality star James \u201cArg\u201d Argent shared a post remembering his \u201cdear mate\u201d who he \u201cloves and misses\u201d while soap star Ryan Thomas recalled the last message he received from Hall.<\/p>\n
Other celebrities to pay tribute included Hall\u2019s friend and former co-star Vas J Morgan, who wrote that his death was a \u201cdeeply difficult loss\u201d and that he wished they had more time together.<\/p>\n
Former Made In Chelsea star Akin Solanke also shared a post and praised Hall as an inspiration while celebrity DJ Fat Tony called his death an \u201cawful loss to the world\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
