Recorded and co-produced in Tennessee by the band alongside acclaimed producer Mike Elizondo<\/b> (Fiona Apple<\/b>, TURNSTILE<\/b>, Sheryl Crow<\/b>),“Play Your Games”<\/b> captures GRETA VAN FLEET<\/b> at their most raw, irreverent and instinctive. Inspired by one of their oldest demos from the band’s revisited archives, the track channels the spirit of their earliest days \u2014 loud, fearless and untamed.<\/p>\n
Written by the band, “Play Your Games”<\/b> leads the charge with swagger, chaos and sharp-edged charm, feeling like a nod to the band’s formative years performing in small clubs in their hometown of Frankenmuth, Michigan. Prior to the Bowery Ballroom concert, GRETA VAN FLEET<\/b> \u2014 brothers Josh<\/b> (vocals),Jake<\/b> (guitar) and Sam Kiszka<\/b> (bass, keyboards) and Daniel Wagner<\/b> (drums) \u2014 hadn’t played a live show since September 2024. In the meantime, Sam Kiszka<\/b> and Danny Wagner<\/b> played on “The Dreamin’ Kind”<\/b>, the 2026 album from Pennsylvania singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim<\/b>. Jake Kiszka<\/b> appeared in last year’s Bruce Springsteen<\/b> biopic “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere”<\/b> as a guitarist in a band in a New Jersey club. Meanwhile MIRADOR<\/b>, the band founded by Jake Kiszka<\/b> and Chris Turpin<\/b> from IDA MAE<\/b>, recently released a new EP, “The Gathering At Badon Hill”<\/b>.<\/p>\n
