Last year, Richmond organized <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/richmondside.org\/2025\/08\/01\/28-national-night-out-parties-richmond-ca\/\">28 neighborhood gatherings<\/a>, making it one of 337 California cities and 17,000 communities nationwide that took part in the annual event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>National Night Out, Tue., Aug. 4<\/em>. <em>The event usually begins with an opening party in one location and a closing party at another.
