On Friday, May 29, Joy Behar<\/b><\/a>, Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/b>, Sara Haines<\/b>, Sunny Hostin<\/b> and Ana Navarro<\/b> sat down to discuss a recent Hot Topic: Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s confession that she\u2019d secretly undergone a facelift<\/a> \u2014 a decision that she deemed a \u201cbetrayal of feminism [and] of aging.\u201d<\/p>\n The 64-year-old comedian and former talk show host served as a moderator<\/a> on The View from 2006 to 2007 before briefly returning for a season in 2014.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just surprised that someone as strong and funny and interesting as Rosie equated having work done to being anti-feminist,\u201d said Hostin, 57, per TV Insider<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you look in the mirror, and you are miserable day after day, and you can\u2019t get past that, it really is up to you,\u201d added Haines, 48.<\/p>\n \u201cI respect it when celebrities share what they\u2019ve got done,\u201d Griffin, 36, shared. \u201cIt means a lot to me, personally, as someone who struggled with body image. You scroll through Instagram, and, \u2018Why does everyone look so much better? \u2026 Why does she look thinner?\u2019 When people are honest that they had a little help, I think it helps a lot of people.\u201d<\/p>\n Instagram\/Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/span><\/p>\n As In Touch previously reported, O\u2019Donnell came clean to her 1.2 million Instagram<\/a> followers on Tuesday, May 26.<\/p>\n \u201cI used to feel very strongly about facelifts. Not casually \u2014 morally. I had assigned myself as head of all women who would never \u2014 ever,\u201d she explained. \u201cI thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging. Of our team of women worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t until the A League Of Their Own star lost 50 pounds that she had a change of heart.<\/p>\n \u201cIt wasn\u2019t wrinkles \u2014 it was gravity,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI\u2019d look in the mirror and think, this isn\u2019t aging, this is\u2026 melting with intention.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell went on to share a before-and-after photo<\/a> of the results in a subsequent post<\/a>, and expanded upon her decision to go under the knife on Substack<\/a>, revealing, per People<\/a>, that the procedure \u201ccost more money than I have ever paid for a car.\u201d<\/p>\n And yet, no one noticed.<\/p>\n \u201cNot one person. Not a friend, not a stranger, not even people who owe me compliments,\u201d she joked. \u201cMy teen daughter has not said a word. Nothing.
