Ahead of the launch, <em data-node-id=\"2.11\">Good Housekeeping<\/em> caught up with Austen to chat about pet ownership.<\/p>\n<h2 data-node-id=\"3\" class=\"body-h2 css-ojtksz emevuu60\">A new reality<\/h2>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">As Austen told us exclusively, his cat-dad responsibilities start first thing in the morning.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"7\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cMy mornings look like me getting woken up at around 6:30 a.m.,\u201d he laughs over Zoom. \u201cOne of them is always meowing at my door, and once they eat, they just lounge and go about their day. It\u2019s so funny to me, because once they wake you up, you do too! He loves the fact that he\u2019s not the only one living in his house\u2014and he enjoys coming home to Piper and Martini.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"10\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cLet me tell you\u2014whenever I\u2019m at dinner or I\u2019m filming, I can\u2019t wait to get home,\u201d he says. \u201cI just love hanging with my cats\u2014which some people think is a red flag! But it\u2019s one of those things that while I know they\u2019re not kids, they feel like they are!
