JADE<\/a> joined Lily Allen<\/a> at Mighty Hoopla<\/a> to give their new \u2018Beg For Me\u2019 remix its a live debut \u2013 check out footage of the moment below.<\/p>\n Allen topped the bill at the London festival on Saturday night (May 30), which followed news that the announcement of her headline set had shifted 35,000 tickets in just 30 minutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n Last night\u2019s set saw her perform her latest album in full, storming through now-viral hits including \u2018Madeline\u2019, \u20184chan Stan\u2019 and \u2018Dallas Major\u2019. During that episode, JADE described \u2018West End Girl\u2019 as a \u201cbrilliant album\u201d, praising Allen\u2019s lyrics and \u201crisk-taking\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cIt isn\u2019t just about the sort of pop cultural reference of it,\u201d she said. \u201cIt is genuinely a brilliant record, and I think nobody filled your gap, actually [in music]. The track\u00a0\u2018Pussy Palace\u2019 bagged the Number 21 spot in\u00a0NME<\/em>\u2018s 50 best songs of the year feature<\/a>.<\/p>\n The record was written and recorded over a short period following the breakdown of Allen\u2019s marriage to\u00a0Stranger Things<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star David Harbour, after he allegedly cheated on her. In a four-star review,\u00a0NME<\/em>\u00a0described the collection as a \u201cvicious, vulnerable and victorious comeback\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n Allen has insisted that \u2018West End Girl\u2019 is \u201cnot a cruel album\u201d, saying she does not \u201cneed revenge\u201d<\/a>\u00a0on her ex. She\u00a0explained that making the LP had been \u201can act of desperation\u201d<\/a>, calling it \u201ca mixture of fact and fiction\u201d.\u00a0Allen also said \u2018West End Girl\u2019 had been inspired by the \u201cstorytelling\u201d style of The Streets\u2019 \u2018A Grand Don\u2019t Come For Free\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n Last week,\u00a0Allen won the award for Outstanding Song Collection at the Ivors 2026<\/a>.\u00a0She was\u00a0nominated for three statues at the BRITs in February<\/a>\u00a0(Album Of The Year, Artist Of The Year and Pop Act), but did not win any awards on the night.<\/p>\n In March,\u00a0Allen unveiled the original\u00a0\u2018West End Girl\u2019 painting at the National Portrait Gallery in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
