The Alaskan Bush People<\/em> star recounted his experience looking for, finding and identifying his brother’s body in an emotional video shared on May 30<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Sibling Solomon Isaiah \u201cBear\u201d Brown first confirmed Matt’s death at age 42 earlier in the day<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Noah Brown was there when his late brother\u2019s body was pulled from a Washington river.<\/p>\n The youngest son of the Brown family, featured on Discovery\u2019s Alaskan Bush People<\/em><\/a>,<\/em> spent days searching for his eldest brother, Matt Brown<\/a>, before his body was finally found in a river on May 30, Noah said in an Instagram<\/a> video posted later that day. (His post was shared after sibling Solomon Isaiah \u201cBear\u201d Brown confirmed Matt\u2019s death<\/a> at age 42 in an Instagram<\/a> video of his own shortly before.)<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s late, and I have some bad news. … It’s been a long day,\u201d Noah, 33, began in the emotional video. \u201cFor the past couple days, I’ve been working with search and rescue groups trying to locate the body. And today, the group that I was working with located the missing body, and I identified it as Matthew.”<\/p>\n “My oldest brother, Matthew Brown, has passed away,” he continued.<\/p>\n Later in the video, Noah revealed, \u201cI was there when we pulled him out of the river.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe hauled him up off the bank,\u201d he said of his brother Matt. \u201cAnd then, after the sheriffs got there and everything, the coroner did his thing, and I went down to identify that it was him. It’s definitely Matthew. His ID and Social Security card was on him, and I was able to visually identify that it was Matthew.\u201d<\/p>\n Noah then thanked the individuals who helped in the search for Matt\u2019s body, including \u201csome of the locals here in town.”<\/p>\n He also apologized to anyone he was unable to inform directly about his brother\u2019s death.<\/p>\n \u201cI’ve had a lot of phone calls I’ve been making to inform one and anyone that I haven’t been able to reach or didn’t have a phone number for, but knew Matthew personally, that finds out from this video, I am sincerely sorry that I wasn’t able to tell you personally,\u201d Noah said in his video. \u201cAnd for all the fans of the show and everything, I’m sorry that it came down to this of finding out.\u201d<\/p>\n The youngest Brown brother also stated that there will be \u201cmore details,\u201d including a cause of death, shared at a later date, pending the coroner\u2019s report.<\/p>\n Bear, 38, previously said their family believed that Matt, who had a history of substance abuse and was estranged from his family, had ended his own life.<\/p>\n
