KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 It\u2019s been an abysmal season for the Kansas City Royals<\/a> so far, who have lost six games in a row for the third time this season.<\/p>\n

This comes after a 6-3 loss to the Texas Rangers<\/a> on Sunday, completing the second straight sweep of the Royals.<\/p>\n

The Rangers jumped out to a 6-0 lead by the bottom of the fourth inning, in large part thanks to a four-run fourth inning.<\/p>\n

It was a rough outing for Michael Wacha<\/a> (4-3), who has been the Royals\u2019 best pitcher this season.<\/p>\n

He went five innings, giving up eight hits and six earned runs along with four walks and five strikeouts.<\/p>\n

The Royals did add an inconsequential three runs in the seventh and eighth innings after a Michael Massey<\/a> two-run home run in the eighth.<\/p>\n

Right now, there are a lot more questions than answers with this Royals club after coming into the season with their highest expectations in over a decade.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if they\u2019ll turn things around, but they are currently 22-37, have lost 16 of their last 19 and hold the second-worst record in baseball.<\/p>\n

They will head to Cincinnati<\/a> to face the Reds<\/a> tomorrow at 6:10 p.m. Luinder Avila<\/a> (0-2) will face Chase Burns<\/a> (7-1).<\/p>\n
