{"id":2439993,"date":"2026-06-01T10:59:48","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2439993"},"modified":"2026-06-01T10:59:48","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:59:48","slug":"va-opens-new-exhibition-on-uks-lost-music-venues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/va-opens-new-exhibition-on-uks-lost-music-venues\/","title":{"rendered":"V&#038;A opens new exhibition on UK\u2019s lost music venues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A new exhibition celebrating the impact of the UK\u2019s lost music venues has opened at the V&amp;A in West London.<\/p>\n<p>Located at the West Kensington institution and with the support of the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/rollingstone.co.uk\/tag\/music-venues-trust\">Music Venues Trust <\/a>(The MVT), the V&amp;A has offered an array of ephemera including posters, photography, merchandise and fashion which hold intrinsic links to around 50 clubs, concert halls and community spaces across the UK which have since closed their doors.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"rs-related-articles\">\n<h4 class=\"rs-related-articles__title\">Read next<\/h4>\n<\/aside>\n<p>More than 150 objects are showcased in the display, with a large proportion being obtained after the V&amp;A put out a public call for items last year.  <\/p>\n<p>As per <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/londons-va-opens-exhibition-on-uks-legendary-lost-music-venues-3948288\">NME<\/a>, the exhibition is split into four different sections. The first explores how dance halls and cinemas became purpose-built music venues in the 1980s.
