Now the latter company has responded.\n\n\n<aside>\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/aside>\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LyricFind published its new filing in a \u2018redlined\u2019 version to highlight some of the new accusations of anticompetitive behaviour that it is making against Musixmatch. \u201cSeveral pieces of highly inculpatory evidence that directly substantiates its claims,\u201d as it put it.\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Musixmatch is sticking to its guns in fighting the lawsuit, which was originally sparked by a licensing deal it signed with publisher Warner Chappell Music.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe maintain that the plaintiff is continuing to challenge a perfectly legitimate commercial arrangement that dates back to 2024,\u201d Musixmatch\u2019s spokesperson told Music Ally. \u201cIt remains our view that the claim is without merit and we remain confident in our legal position.\u201d\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unless there\u2019s a settlement, that confidence seems increasingly likely to be put to the test in court.
