Thank you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rue \u2014 who struggled with drug addiction throughout the HBO Max series \u2014 <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/31\/entertainment\/does-zendayas-rue-die-in-the-euphoria-season-3-finale\/\">died in Sunday\u2019s season finale<\/a> from an accidental overdose after taking painkillers that were intentionally laced with fentanyl by the drug lord Alamo Brown (portrayed by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje).<\/p>\n<p>Rue\u2019s body was found by her mentor, Ali Muhammed, played by Colman Domingo.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Rue died from an accidental overdose after taking pills that were intentionally laced with fentanyl by drug lord Alamo Brown (seen above). <span class=\"credit\">HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Rue\u2019s mentor, Ali Muhammed, avenged her death by fatally shooting Alamo (as seen above). <span class=\"credit\">HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ali later sought revenge for Rue and traveled to Alamo\u2019s strip club and fatally shot the drug lord after a standoff.<\/p>\n<p>Rue wasn\u2019t the only major character who was <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/24\/entertainment\/euphoria-kills-off-jacob-elordis-nate-jacobs\/\">killed off in the third and final season<\/a>, though.<\/p>\n<p>In last week\u2019s episode, Nate Jacobs (played by Jacob Elordi) also met his fate after being buried alive in a coffin, with a pipe leading to the surface so that he could breathe.<\/p>\n<p>However, a rattlesnake slithered down the pipe and bit him.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>In last week\u2019s episode, Nate Jacobs (seen above) was killed after being bitten by a rattlesnake.  <span class=\"credit\">HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Season 3 of \u201cEuphoria\u201d is available to stream on HBO Max.
