In the words of Charli xcx<\/a>, nothing is going to save us \u2014 not music, fashion, or film. Or so we thought.<\/p>\n On June 1, the British singer-songwriter announced that her new album, Music, Fashion, Film<\/em>, arrives on July 24. We had a feeling<\/a> it was building to this; Charli kicked off the new era with \u201cRock Music<\/a>,\u201d followed by the aptly titled \u201cSS26,\u201d in which she sings about music, fashion, and, you guessed it, film. In keeping with the theme, Charli tapped three legends from each of the respective fields for the album cover: Martin Scorsese<\/a>, Marc Jacobs<\/a>, and John Cale<\/a>.<\/p>\n The project is set to have 11 songs.<\/p>\n She teased the album a day earlier on TikTok, in which she not-so-subtly told bandwagoner Brat<\/em> fans to curb their expectations. \u201cSo I made an album, and it\u2019s really different from the last one,\u201d the \u201c360\u201d singer says. \u201cThat is a fact. And I love it, and you might not. And that\u2019s cool. But if you do, then that\u2019s cute. But if you don\u2019t, that\u2019s totally OK, because that\u2019s just what it is to have personal preferences.<\/p>\n Based on what we\u2019ve heard so far, we expect to be firmly in the \u201ccute\u201d camp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
