Charli XCX<\/a> has announced her new album \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019, and it features Martin Scorsese<\/a> on the cover.<\/p>\n The announcement was made on the singer\u2019s social media channels earlier today (Monday June 1), where she confirmed that the new album would be released on July 24 and also unveiled the artwork. Pre-order it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Set to be her seventh record, \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019 follows on from her hit 2024 album \u2018Brat<\/a>\u2019 \u2013 which sparked \u2018Brat Summer\u2019<\/a> \u2013 and the soundtrack album she wrote for the latest Wuthering Heights<\/em> film adaptation<\/a>.<\/p>\n The black and white cover is shot by Aidan Zamiri, and sees John Cale<\/a>, Marc Jacobs, and Scorsese standing together, each representing the three aspects of the album title.<\/p>\n \u201cMy new album \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019 is out July 24th. 11 songs, 30 minutes, five seconds. available to pre order now, love you,\u201d Charli wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n So far, two songs have been shared from the forthcoming album, the gritty, guitar led lead single \u2018Rock Music<\/a>\u2019, and the edgy \u2018SS26<\/a>\u2019 which dropped two weeks ago.<\/p>\n The title of the new album is taken from the lyrics to the latter, in which Charli sings: \u201cWe\u2019re walkin\u2019 on a runway that goes straight to hell \/ Nothing\u2019s gonna save us, not music, fashion or\u205ffilm<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n As well as the two singles, the \u2018Von Dutch\u2019 singer has also released two B-sides, the pensive \u2018I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day And Night\u2019<\/a> that accompanied the lead single, and the punk-tinged \u2018Playboy Bunny\u2019<\/a> that arrived shortly after \u2018SS26\u2019.<\/p>\n In April, Charli\u2019s team confirmed that she was finishing work on her new album<\/a>, and shortly afterwards the artist told British Vogue<\/em> some of the lyrics to \u2018Rock Music\u2019 <\/a>\u2013 prompting speculation that the album would take a heavier direction.
