Radical Off-Broadway sensation\u00a0<em>Prince Faggot<\/em>\u00a0led the field with six wins, the most of any production this season. The Lincoln Center Theater revival of\u00a0<em>Ragtime<\/em>\u00a0earned three awards, the most of any Broadway production. Voted on by GALECA\u2019s theater wing, the Dorian Theater Awards celebrate the best of Broadway and Off-Broadway, from mainstream to LGBTQ+.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are thrilled to kick off LGBTQ Pride Month by celebrating a season that uplifted queer voices,\u201d said GALECA theater wing co-chair Sam Eckmann. \u201cWhether it was a tender love story within\u00a0<em>Schmigadoon!<\/em>\u00a0or mainstream audience members discovering the fabulous world of ballroom through\u00a0<em>Cats: The Jellicle Ball<\/em>, New York\u2019s theater scene has consistently made us proud.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GALECA voters fell head over heels for\u00a0<em>Prince Faggot<\/em>, the queer coming-of-age tale by Jordan Tannahill. The show won Outstanding Off-Broadway Play, Outstanding Off-Broadway LGBTQ Production, Outstanding Writing for an Off-Broadway Production, Outstanding Lead Performance in an Off-Broadway Production for John McCrea, and Outstanding Featured Performance in an Off-Broadway Production for David Greenspan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Ragtime<\/em>, the Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty musical with direction from Lincoln Center Theatre artistic director Lear deBessonet, topped the Broadway categories with three victories: Outstanding Broadway Musical Revival, Outstanding Broadway Ensemble, and Outstanding Lead Performance in a Broadway Musical for Joshua Henry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other top Broadway winners include\u00a0<em>Schmigadoon!<\/em>, which claimed Outstanding Broadway Musical and Outstanding Book of a Musical for writer Cinco Paul.\u00a0<em>The Balusters<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Giant<\/em>\u00a0tied for Outstanding Broadway Play.\u00a0<em>The Balusters<\/em>\u00a0playwright David Lindsay-Abaire won Outstanding Script of a Broadway Play, while\u00a0<em>Giant<\/em>\u00a0leading man John Lithgow won Outstanding Lead Performance in a Broadway Play. Arthur Miller\u2019s\u00a0<em>Death of a Salesman<\/em>, starring Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf, won Outstanding Broadway Play Revival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Richard O\u2019Brien\u2019s<em>\u00a0The Rocky Horror Show<\/em>, helmed by Dorian Theater Award nominee Sam Pinkleton, was awarded Outstanding LGBTQ Broadway Production. This award honors exceptional theatrical work that spotlights LGBTQ stories and themes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Cats: The Jellicle Ball\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Titan\u00edque\u00a0<\/em>were ineligible for top production categories after winning Outstanding Off-Broadway Production in prior seasons, but voters eagerly recognized their 2026 Broadway runs as eligible.\u00a0<em>Titan\u00edque<\/em>\u00a0newcomer Layton Williams won Outstanding Featured Performance in a Broadway Musical.\u00a0<em>Cats: The Jellicle Ball<\/em>\u00a0received the Broadway Showstopper Award for the musical number \u201cSkimbleshanks The Railway Cat,\u201d which has been reimagined as an energetic voguing performance led by Emma Sofia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Qween Jean was named LGBTQ Theater Artist of the Season. The costume designer and trans rights activist has created standout looks all season long, having designed the costumes for\u00a0<em>Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Liberation, Saturday Church, Angry Alan,\u00a0<\/em>and<em>\u00a0Oh Happy Day!<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Dorian\u2019s special LGBTQ Theater Trailblazer award was given to Junior LaBeija. A member of the House of LaBeija for over 50 years, LaBeija is a ballroom icon who served as master of ceremonies for the annual \u201cParis is Burning Ball,\u201d as captured in the documentary\u00a0<em>Paris Is Burning<\/em>. Now, LaBeija is proving to be a master storyteller in his role as Gus the Theatre Cat in\u00a0<em>Cats: The Jellicle Ball<\/em>, where he ensures that queer history is accorded reverence on
