Taylor Swift has penned a new song titled “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the Toy Story 5<\/em> soundtrack.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The announcement comes after months of dropping subtle hints related to the beloved animated franchise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n “I Knew It, I Knew You” will be released on June 5, with the film itself arriving in theaters on June 19.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Taylor Swift<\/a> is a cowboy<\/a> like Woody and Jessie!<\/p>\n After months of dropping subtle hints, the \u201cMy Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys\u201d singer officially announced on Monday that she has penned a new song, titled “I Knew It, I Knew You,” for Toy Story 5<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a Toy<\/em> Story \ud83e\udd20,\u201d Swift wrote on Instagram. \u201cYou knew it! My new original song \u2018I Knew It, I Knew You\u2019 for Disney and @pixar<\/a>\u2019s @toystory<\/a> 5 will be yours on June 5th.\u201d<\/p>\n She also highlighted just how special the moment was for her personally as a longtime fan of the series.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I\u2019ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story <\/em>movie,\u201d Swift explained. \u201cI fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 <\/em>when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cSometimes you just know, right?\u201d<\/p>\n Swift confirmed that a Toy Story<\/em>-related surprise was on the way by publishing a countdown on her webstore on Monday that featured a billboard for the upcoming Pixar sequel as well as Jessie (Joan Cusack) dancing on top of a nearby barn. She previously shared a separate countdown<\/a> that featured the film\u2019s clouds as its background on April 30.<\/p>\n The webstore has since been updated to reveal three separate versions of the track \u2014\u00a0the original, an acoustic, and a piano rendition \u2014 all on special collector’s edition CDs. That same month, fans noticed that the Toy Story<\/em> clouds could be seen floating across their screens when searching for \u201cTaylor Swift\u201d on TikTok.<\/p>\n As it turns out, that was just the tip of the iceberg. The seagulls typically depicted on the album cover of Swift\u2019s 1989 (Taylor\u2019s Version) <\/em>have since been replaced with clouds on multiple streaming platforms. And, if you click on Swift\u2019s original version of 1989<\/em>, the words \u201cT.S.\u201d and \u201c1989\u201d can be seen being erased and re-written in blue-and-yellow font.<\/p>\n
