Former TODAY<\/em><\/a> show co-anchor<\/a> Hoda Kotb has some of advice for anyone trying to make a big decision. In celebration of Joy 101 turning 1, the mom of two and proud Southerner<\/a> is reflecting on what she would tell her younger self.<\/p>\n “Get ready for a crazy ride, that’s what I would tell her,” Kotb shared in a social media post<\/a>.<\/p>\n Launched in 2025, Joy 101 is a wellness brand and platform created by Kotb after stepping away from television to help people cultivate joy, purpose, and connection in their everyday lives.<\/p>\n “I would say the highs are high and the lows are low, but at the end of the day, what happens is you’re like on this crazy fun wild roller coaster, but you’re doing exactly what you chose, so if you’re thinking about trying something new, try it, because you’ll go on the ride of a lifetime,” Kotb continued.<\/p>\n As Joy 101 marks its first anniversary, Kotb said the journey has reaffirmed the value of taking chances, even when the outcome is uncertain.<\/p>\n “If you can’t sleep because you’re thinking about doing it, do it,” she said. “Your life’s supposed to take you on a road like this. It’s not supposed to be like that. You’re supposed to try things and mess up and try something else. So get on the roller coaster, because it’s fun.\u00a0“<\/p>\n Followers were quick to agree in the comment section.<\/p>\n “YES!! Playing it safe all of your life gets you nowhere.
