Taylor Swift<\/a>\u00a0has confirmed the\u00a0rumours\u00a0\u2013 her new song \u2018I Knew It, I Knew You\u2019 will be appearing in\u00a0Toy Story 5<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speculation has been swirling among\u00a0Swifties\u00a0in recent weeks,\u00a0prompted last month when the singer posted a cryptic countdown on her website<\/a>\u00a0that was later taken down before it had the chance to be completed.<\/p>\n

The countdown had been doused in the\u00a0colour\u00a0scheme of the\u00a0Toy Story\u00a0<\/i>films, and the rumours clicked up a gear when a billboard bearing the initials \u2018TS\u2019 over\u00a0a\u00a0familiar blue sky and white cloud appeared<\/a>\u00a0in recent days. Fans noted that there were exactly 13 clouds on display, a nod to Swift\u2019s famous lucky number, and\u00a0Pixar<\/a>\u00a0later shared an image of the billboard on social media.<\/p>\n

Now, Swift has officially announced that her new original song \u2018I Knew It, I Knew You\u2019 will appear in the film, which is released in cinemas on June 19.\u00a0The single will be released on Friday (June 5), and you can pre-order it\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I\u2019ve adored since I was a\u00a05 year old\u00a0kid watching the first\u00a0Toy Story\u00a0<\/i>movie,\u201d Swift wrote. \u201cI fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5\u00a0<\/i>when I was lucky enough to see it in its\u00a0early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift has written the song with Jack\u00a0Antonoff\u00a0<\/a>and there will be three CD editions of the single, featuring the track as it appears in the film, as well as an acoustic version and a piano version.<\/p>\n

Toy Story 5\u00a0<\/i>director Andrew Stanton has said: \u201cIt\u2019s incredible just how meaningful it\u2019s been having Taylor write and perform this song. Her connection to Jessie and the immediate way she understood what the character was going through was undeniable. The song is so deeply connected to Toy\u00a0Story<\/i>.
