Taylor Swift just announced her involvement in \u201cToy Story 5\u201d in the most Taylor Swift way possible. <\/p>\n

On June 1, the singer confirmed rumors that she has recorded a song for the upcoming Disney film.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a *Toy* Story \ud83e\udd20You knew it! My new original song \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d for Disney and @pixar\u2019s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th,\u201d she wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

The \u201cOpalite\u201d singer said she\u2019s \u201calways dreamed\u201d of writing for the film series\u2019 characters, explaining that she\u2019s \u201cadored\u201d them since she was 5 years old. <\/p>\n

\u201cI fell instantly in love with \u2018Toy Story 5\u2019 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cToy Story 5\u201d hits theaters on June 19, but Swift\u2019s fans won\u2019t have to wait that long to listen to the new song. \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d will be available on June 5. <\/p>\n

For the next 48 hours, fans can preorder one of three collector\u2019s edition CDs for $3.99 on the singer\u2019s website while supplies last. <\/p>\n

Per a press release, the CDs feature the new single \u201cas it appears in the film, a special acoustic version, and a special piano version, all with unique vocals and production.\u201d <\/p>\n

The song, which honor\u2019s Swift\u2019s \u201ccountry roots,\u201d will also be featured on the \u201cToy Story\u201d soundtrack when it\u2019s released on June 19.<\/p>\n

Swift wrote and produced the song with Jack Antonoff. Per a press release, \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d is inspired by \u201cToy Story\u201d cowgirl Jessie\u2019s \u201congoing journey in \u2018Toy Story 5\u2019 that began back in \u2018Toy Story 2.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Swifties started speculating that the 36-year-old might be involved in \u201cToy Story 5\u201d after they started spotting billboards with the letters \u201cTS\u201d in bold font. <\/p>\n

Those are indeed the initials of the movie, but some thought it was strange that the billboards didn\u2019t feature the number \u201c5\u201d to signify the fifth movie in the franchise. <\/p>\n

To further add to the rumors, there were 13 (Swift\u2019s lucky number)<\/a> clouds painted onto the billboard. Additionally, the Instagram page for \u201cToy Story\u201d posted a video of the film\u2019s character Jessie dancing in front of the billboard with the caption, \u201cShe\u2019s making those moves up as she goes!\u201d <\/p>\n

Swifties instantly recognized that as a lyrical reference to the song \u201cShake It Off.\u201d<\/p>\n

When a countdown popped up on Swift\u2019s website, fans became further convinced that new music was coming. <\/p>\n

On June 1, the \u201cToy Story\u201d Instagram page joined Swift in confirming the news.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the film\u2019s director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton spoke about Swift\u2019s involvement in the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s incredible just how meaningful it\u2019s been having Taylor write and perform this song. Her connection to Jessie and the immediate way she understood what the character was going through was undeniable. The song is so deeply connected to \u2018Toy Story.\u2019 So much so that on first listen, it instantly felt like it had always belonged there, like a long-lost family member.
