Taylor Swift has written a new song, to be released on June 5, for \u201cToy Story 5<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d the pop star announced on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou knew it! My new original song \u2018I Knew It, I Knew You\u2019 for Disney and Pixar\u2019s toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th,\u201d she wrote on X on June 1.<\/p>\n

The songwriter, winner of 14 Grammy awards, said she has \u201cadored\u201d the characters of the \u201cToy Story\u201d franchise since the first movie came out in 1995.<\/p>\n

\u201cToy Story 5\u201d will be released in theaters worldwide from June 17. It features Woody the cowboy, Buzz Lightyear and their gang of toys fighting for survival against competition from technology, particularly a tablet.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s fans had been speculating for weeks about her involvement in the latest \u201cToy Story\u201d film, after a countdown timer appeared on her website against a background reminiscent of the wallpaper in the bedroom of the original film\u2019s hero, Andy.<\/p>\n

Late last week, billboards with that background and the initials TS \u2013 which the singer and the film share \u2013 began appearing in major cities in multiple countries.<\/p>\n

Swift, 36, is\u00a0engaged to American football player Travis Kelce, who is also 36. Their wedding will take place in New York on July 3, according to celebrity media site People. \/ra<\/p>\n
