Just a few months after releasing her (criminally underrated) soundtrack album Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0our brat <\/em>queen Charli xcx <\/strong>has officially announced her much-anticipated eighth studio album.\n<\/p>\n Titled Music, Fashion, Film<\/em>, the new project will feature 11 tracks, including the previously released singles \u201cRock Music\u201d<\/a> and \u201cSS26\u201d \u2014 and no one can say she doesn\u2019t keep her fans fed.<\/p>\n The pop superstar has been booked and busy this year, creating the soundtracks for both Emerald Fennell<\/strong>\u2019s romance film Wuthering Heights <\/em>and David Lowery<\/strong>\u2019s thriller Mother Mary <\/em>alongside Jack Antonoff<\/strong>. She\u2019s also appeared in four (!!!) feature films, including The Gallerist<\/em>, Faces of Death<\/em>, I Want Your Sex <\/em>and The Moment<\/a><\/em> \u2014 which she produced and was based on her original story.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a lot to keep up with in the Angels fandom, so let\u2019s go through everything we know about the new album, shall we?<\/p>\n Charli announced the album overnight by posting the cover on Instagram: a black-and-white photo of musician John Cale <\/strong>of the Velvet Underground, fashion designer Marc Jacobs <\/strong>and director Martin<\/strong> Scorsese<\/strong>, representing each aspect of the title.<\/p>\n The \u201cApple\u201d hitmaker previously collaborated with Cale on her 2025 song \u201cHouse\u201d and has been a longtime fan of Scorsese, as her Letterboxd followers would know from her regular five-star reviews.<\/p>\n As for her connection to the fashion icon, she attended her first Marc Jacobs show in 2017 and has since collaborated with his brand several times, even starring in its summer 2024 ad campaign.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the album title is taken from the lyrics of her latest single \u201cSS26\u201d, where she sings: \u201cWe\u2019re walkin\u2019 on a runway that goes straight to hell \/ Nothing\u2019s gonna save us, not music, fashion or\u205ffilm.\u201d<\/p>\n The 11-track project is set to be released on July 24 \u2014 just one week before Ariana Grande<\/strong>\u2019s eighth album, Petal<\/em><\/a> \u2014 and will be 30 minutes and five seconds long, which is her shortest full-length album to date.<\/p>\n Charli is yet to announce the titles of the nine unreleased songs, although she has released B-sides to both \u201cRock Music\u201d and \u201cSS26\u201d titled \u201cI Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night\u201d and \u201cPlayboy Bunny\u201d.
