I\u2019ve been hearing murmurs that the people with the best style showcase their sartorial chops in the summer. I get it\u2014when you\u2019re dealing with too-hot-to-handle temperatures and dew points that call for a second shower, it\u2019s easy to reach for the trusted staples that keep you comfortable above all else. It need not be like this, though, especially when you have brands that make dressing for the highest of temperatures easy (and chic). Case in point: Cou Cou Intimates<\/a>, a brand that many an It girl and I have been turning to for everyday basics that look undeniably sophisticated and are great for beating the heat.<\/p>\n

More likely than not, you\u2019ve seen Cou Cou Intimates\u2019 pointelle pieces come across your Instagram, whether it\u2019s on the likes of Hailey Bieber, Kaia Gerber, Sabrina Carpenter, Zo\u00eb Kravitz, and Gracie Abrams (I could go on, but the list would be virtually endless), or on other stylish It girls. The B Corp-certified brand launched in 2022 with 100 percent organic cotton underwear and other everyday staples that would quickly elevate your top drawer. Since then, it\u2019s expanded its offerings to include ready-to-wear pieces like the now-iconic \u201990s-inspired pointelle minidress<\/a> (a personal favorite of mine), as well as the celebrity-adored Rina long-sleeve<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And as someone who\u2019s personally tried everything from its signature pointelle pieces<\/a> to its cotton voile staples<\/a>, I can tell you: If you\u2019re on the fence about getting some pieces ahead of the year\u2019s hottest months, just do it. You won\u2019t regret it.<\/p>\n

First and foremost, if you\u2019re going to buy anything, I highly<\/em> recommend the underwear\u2014it\u2019s what the brand is known for! Unapologetically feminine, Cou Cou\u2019s collection of intimates feels like a step up from your standard cotton bras and panties. The fit is great, and the material holds up through multiple washes. Plus, as a small-chested lady, I love that its bralettes, like the Balconette<\/a> and the Triangle<\/a>, fit my 32A bust (no gaps here!).<\/p>\n

Next on the list? The dresses. I\u2019m not typically a dress person, but I am with Cou Cou Intimates. Made with the same material you\u2019ll find in its intimates, the brand\u2019s line of slips and other styles is true comfort\u2014the one thing you want when it\u2019s too hot to think. You\u2019ll find that same level of quality and ease in its T-shirts, tanks, and bottoms (I love the pointelle Pant<\/a> for lounging and the cotton voile Boxers<\/a> for running around the city), and you have everything you need to stay as cool as can be throughout the summer months.<\/p>\n
