Meghan Markle<\/a> has fallen into this trap of late, when talking about an incredibly important subject: candles. A clip of the Duchess of Sussex on stage in 2016 has resurfaced<\/a>, during which she says selling $100 (\u00a374) candles is \u201cobnoxious”. Some years later, it seems she has had a change of heart.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Currently, customers can purchase a $256 (\u00a3190) Signature Scent Collection under her As Ever brand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lucky buyers get four signature candles, described as \u201ccomfort in the air\u201d, \u201cdaydreams in the garden\u201d, a \u201cwarm welcome\u201d and \u201clove at first light\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In Meghan\u2019s own words – that could strike one as quite obnoxious. I’m embarassed for her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Candles \u201cNo. 506\u201d and \u201cNo. 604\u201d were \u201clovingly crafted and curated by our founder and named after the birthdates of her son Archie and her daughter Lilibet\u201d, the site adds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Confusion reigns as to whether Meghan wants her children in or out of the spotlight.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

She and her husband, Prince Harry<\/a>, are, of course, firmly out of Royal Family duties, attempting to remain relevant on the other side of the Atlantic.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Some people, presumably, are fans of the couple, despite them abandoning their duties, and buy this stuff.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I wonder what these purchasers (who clearly have more money than they know what to do with) think of the woman they, for some reason, revere, criticising the type of product she is now fleecing them for.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Let\u2019s hope it helps them realise that she has now been exposed as a hypocrite and does not deserve their attention.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Then again, if they’re spending that much on lumps of wax – bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase burning money – I bet they’re already beyond saving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
