Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> mocked Donald Trump<\/a> after several big losses \u2013 including artists dropping out left and right for the upcoming Freedom 250 event<\/a>, Wonderwall.com<\/em><\/a> can reveal.<\/p>\n On the Monday, June 1, installment of The View<\/em><\/a>, Goldberg pretended to fake cry as she pointed out that a judge recently ordered Trump\u2019s name to be \u201cremoved from the Kennedy Center.\u201d<\/p>\n Whoopi Goldberg jokingly pretended to cry over Trump\u2019s recent losses. @theview\/youtube; MEGA<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cAnd they blocked his renovation plans,\u201d she joked between feigned sobs. \u201cAnother judge temporarily blocked his $1.7 billion so-called \u2018anti-weaponization\u2019 fund<\/a>. And<\/em> former VP Mike Pence<\/a> weighed in on it over the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n On Sunday, Pence called the fund \u201cdeeply offensive\u201d as he encouraged the administration to \u201cdrop\u201d the idea completely on NBC\u2019s Meet the Press<\/em>.<\/p>\n Sunny Hostin, an attorney who has criticized the anti-weaponization fund<\/a> in the past, chimed in that she found it \u201creally special\u201d that 35 \u201cformer federal judges\u201d chose to \u201cget involved, write a letter, and say, \u2018This cannot and shall not pass.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo, while I\u2019ve been saying all along, \u2018There\u2019s no checks and balances happening in the legislative branch,\u2019 the judicial branch, the lawyers, they are fighting,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n \u2018The View\u2019 co-hosts noted that Young MC and several other artists dropped out of the Freedom 250 event. @theview\/youtube<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n The View<\/em> co-hosts also took a moment to dance to Young MC\u2019s Bust a Move<\/em>, commemorating the fact that he is one of several previously-booked artists that will no longer be performing at the Freedom 250 event.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to point out that, you know, Bret Michaels, who plays for everybody, and The Commodores who play for everybody \u2013 I mean, Martina McBride is not a politicized person<\/a>,\u201d she added, referring to McBride\u2019s decision to also drop out. \u201cY\u2019all made it political because you made it into something it was not supposed to be and you didn\u2019t tell the artists.\u201d<\/p>\n Sunny Hostin suggested performers may have had it confused with a non-partisan event. @theview\/youtube<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Hostin also pointed out that some of the musicians may have initially confused it with a separate commission that did not have MAGA ties<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are two commissions. So there was the \u2018America 250,\u2019 which is a nonpartisan U.S. semi-quincentennial commission that was founded like 10 years ago to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the country. Trump, in an executive order, decided to start \u2018Freedom 250,\u2019 which is a White House organization launched by Trump,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cI think at this point, Trump has become so toxic<\/a> that no artist wants to become affiliated with him because if they do, they could lose some of their fans,\u201d she continued. \u201cI don\u2019t think they want any of the affiliation.\u201d<\/p>\n Donald Trump speculated that it might be better to \u2018cancel\u2019 the Freedom 250 event.
