During the first phase, one nominated player from each club at every position will appear on the ballot. At the conclusion of the first phase, the top overall vote-getter in both the American League and National League will automatically earn a starting roster spot at their position. For all remaining positions, the top two vote-getters at each infield position and the top six outfielders will advance to Phase 2 of voting which begins Monday, June 29.
