{"id":2443535,"date":"2026-06-03T18:51:42","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T18:51:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2443535"},"modified":"2026-06-03T18:51:42","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T18:51:42","slug":"the-odyssey-gets-3-week-run-at-the-village-theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/the-odyssey-gets-3-week-run-at-the-village-theatre\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018The Odyssey\u2019 gets 3-week run at the Village Theatre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>EL SEGUNDO, Calif. \u2014 Christopher Nolan\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d will get a special three-week engagement in 70 mm at the Westwood\u2019s historic Village Theatre beginning July 17, the American Cinematheque announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The special engagement is in partnership with Universal Pictures and the Village Directors Circle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresenting Christopher Nolan\u2019s latest epic in glorious 70mm on the largest traditional theatre screen in Los Angeles is an honor for the American Cinematheque,\u201d said American Cinematheque Artistic Director Grant Moninger in a statement. \u201cThe Village booth will be fitted with restored dual 70mm projectors to ensure a world-class presentation throughout the entire run.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There will be three showtimes a day, and tickets for the showings will go on sale Thursday, June 4, at 9 a.m. PT.<\/p>\n<p>The AC said the three-week run of Nolan\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d is part of a select number of engagements and special events its programming as a fundraising effort ahead of the Village Theatre\u2019s fall closure in the fall for a year\u2019s long renovation and restoration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Odyssey\u201d is Nolan\u2019s adaptation of Homer\u2019s mythic saga.
