Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/strong> lost their access to Frogmore Cottage after their public remarks against the royal family.<\/p>\n According to expert Tom Sykes<\/strong>, there\u2019s a chance that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could\u2019ve kept their Windsor residence if they hadn\u2019t made shocking accusations about The Firm.<\/p>\n \u201cHarry and Meghan actually didn\u2019t give the royal family very much choice other than to evict them from the property,\u201d the journalist said during an episode of \u201cThe Royalist<\/a>\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s former Frogmore Cottage pictured in 2019. By: MEGA<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cHad they left and not then spent the next five years chucking rocks at the institution, trying to smash, burn everything down, burn every bridge, I think they would have probably been allowed to keep Frogmore Cottage,\u201d Sykes said.<\/p>\n \u201cIf they hadn\u2019t gone public with all their resentments, they hadn\u2019t made all the films, they hadn\u2019t written the books, they hadn\u2019t called the royal family racist\u2026\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Harry and Meghan were asked to formally vacate the residence in 2023 following their move to California in 2020.<\/p>\n In 2021, the couple sat down with Oprah Winfrey<\/strong> for a shocking tell-all interview about their time as senior working royals.<\/p>\n \u201cIn those months when I was pregnant [with Prince Archie<\/strong>]\u2026 we have in tandem the conversation of, \u2018He won\u2019t be given security. He\u2019s not going to be given a title,\u2019 and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he\u2019s born,\u201d Meghan told the former talk show host during their sit-down.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were several conversations about it,\u201d she claimed. \u201cI think that would be very damaging to them. That was relayed to me from Harry. Those were conversations that his family had with him.
