Visitors can spend the afternoon exploring local shops, restaurants, breweries, and the majesty of the New River Gorge National Park before descending into a secluded creekside setting where mountain views, campfires, and open-air live music replace the noise of everyday life.<\/p>\n The Outpost at New River Gorge\u2019s programming unfolds through two distinct music series. Fireside Jams<\/strong> offers free community-oriented performances featuring regional and local artists gathered around campfires and the venue\u2019s Groove Shack<\/strong> bar, while the Groove In The Gorge<\/strong> series brings national and regional touring acts to the property\u2019s intimate outdoor stage.<\/p>\n The 2026 Groove In The Gorge season reflects The Outpost NRG\u2019s growing reputation as a destination for bluegrass, Americana, jam, and roots-driven artists. With Clay Street Unit<\/strong> and Maggie Baugh<\/strong> having already taken the stage this season, the series has set the tone for a summer filled with high-energy performances and nationally recognized touring talent.<\/p>\n That momentum continues on June 13th, when Leftover Salmon<\/strong><\/a> arrives with special guests Davisson Brothers Band<\/strong>. Fireside Collective<\/strong><\/a> and Coyote Rodeo<\/strong> will follow on July 3rd for a double dose of newgrass exported from Asheville, NC, a pairing tailor-made for the venue\u2019s outdoor setting. Other acts scheduled for this summer include The Local Honeys<\/strong><\/a> (8\/15), The Wood Brothers<\/strong><\/a> (8\/29), Steep Canyon Rangers<\/strong><\/a> (9\/5), and Grateful Dub<\/strong><\/a> (9\/12).<\/p>\n The calendar stretches into late September with Keller Williams<\/strong><\/a>, who will bring his Grateful Grass<\/em> set on the 26th, along with a free Keller Kids<\/em> daytime performance. The venue has teased some high-profile names coming to The Outpost NRG on October 3rd and October 10th, and will reveal their identities at a later date.
