Robert De Niro slammed Donald Trump<\/a> on the opening night of the Tribeca Festival on Wednesday without mentioning the president by name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYou know who I\u2019m talking about,\u201d the Oscar-winning actor told the audience after contrasting what he described as the \u201cpull people together\u201d ethos of the New York film festival<\/a> he co-founded in the aftermath of the 9\/11 terrorist attacks to the \u201cmonstrous leaders\u201d who \u201care trying to force us apart for their own immoral, cruel and corrupt purposes,\u201d reported Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

De Niro has repeatedly condemned Trump, describing him as an \u201cexistential threat to our freedoms and security,\u201d a \u201cphilistine president,<\/a>\u201d a \u201cmonster\u201d and a \u201ctyrant.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He has also called him a \u201cjerk\u201d and a \u201cclown.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Most recently, De Niro squeezed in another jab<\/a> at Trump during one of the final segments of Stephen Colbert\u2019s \u201cLate Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly lashed out at De Niro on social media and even threatened to deport the actor<\/a> despite his being a U.S. citizen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
