\u201cDaily Show\u201d correspondent Michael Kosta<\/a> mocked President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s recent endorsement of Rep. Tom Kean Jr.<\/a> (R-N.J.), who secured the GOP nomination in Tuesday\u2019s primary election despite not having been seen publicly in months, on Wednesday\u2019s show. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kosta played an NBC News Now clip that explained, \u201cThe 57-year-old has been absent from his job for over two months now, not casting votes on Capitol Hill, no constituent events, and also not seen in any video statements.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n He then turned his attention to Trump\u2019s endorsement of Kean, suggesting that only a person of very low intelligence would lend their public support to a seemingly absent candidate. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI mean, at this point, you\u2019ve got to be an absolute moron to give him a full-throated endorsement,\u201d Kosta said before pointing to Trump\u2019s Truth Social<\/a> post endorsing Kean. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cTom Kean has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election. Election Day is Tuesday, June 2nd. GET OUT AND VOTE FOR TOM \u2014 HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!\u201d Trump wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSo true,\u201d Kosta said. \u201cOf all the congressmen who have been missing for two months, he is the most reliable.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kean ran unopposed in Tuesday\u2019s primary for New Jersey\u2019s 7th Congressional District, considered one of the most competitive House races in this year\u2019s midterm elections, where Republicans<\/a> hope to hold their narrow majority. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
