SAN ANTONIO (May 6, 2026) \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit downtown \u2014 including Historic Market Square, La Villita Historic Arts Village, and Houston Street \u2014 this May for a wide variety of events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While enjoying\u00a0La Villita<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Market Square<\/a>\u00a0events, don\u2019t forget to stop inside their stores to shop for one-of-a-kind treasures.<\/p>\n Location: Legacy Park, 103 West Houston St.<\/p>\n Thursday, June 4, 5-7 p.m.; free<\/p>\n Join the City for a free community Block Party to kick off Downtown Thursday, featuring music, activities, giveaways, and a fun, family\u2011friendly atmosphere with complimentary light bites and beverages. Free parking will be available in the City Tower Garage after 5 p.m. (60 North Flores St.). The Local SATX micro\u2011transit will be available to transport the public from other downtown locations to the Block Party (more information<\/a>). See parking map<\/a> for City-owned parking options.<\/p>\n This Block Party launches Downtown Thursday, the City\u2019s new weekly summer series offering family\u2011friendly activities, arts and culture, food and drink specials, community events, and free parking after 5 p.m. every Thursday from June through the end of August.
