The sixth installment of the franchise hits theaters June 5, and the cast is so good it\u2019s scary. Twenty-six years after appearing in the OG film,\u00a0Marlon Wayans<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Shawn<\/strong> Wayans<\/strong>, Anna Faris<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0Regina<\/strong>\u00a0Hall<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0are back to deal with the masked killer\u00a0Ghostface\u00a0and bring the laughs.<\/p>\n

“It felt like yesterday,” Marlon\u2014who also wrote and produced the first, second and sixth Scary Movie\u00a0with Shawn\u2014told Fandango<\/a> in April. “It felt like a high school reunion when we all saw each other for the first time.”<\/p>\n

Just like in the previous versions, the new movie parodies popular horror films, including recent hits Get Out,\u00a0M3GAN,\u00a0Sinners,\u00a0Smile,\u00a0The Substance\u00a0and\u00a0Weapons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We just threw everything in the kitchen sink,” Marlon added, “and said, ‘As long as it\u2019s funny.'”<\/p>\n

And it seems like nothing is off limits. “Nothing is sacred,” Paramount Pictures stated in its description<\/a>. “No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
