\n\tTaylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s Toy Story 5 <\/em>song \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d <\/a>officially dropped on Friday, and as promised after Disney called the song a return to Swift\u2019s country roots, her latest brings the world\u2019s biggest superstar back to her debut days. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWriting this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,\u201d Swift wrote in an Instagram post Thursday night, accompanied by a video of a Young Swift in a Jessie-like cowgirl outfit.
\u201cCreating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a\u00a0@toystory\u00a0kid from the age of 5 til now\u2026 is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSwift reunited with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff<\/a> on the song which is an upbeat country-pop track complete with some banjo and mandolin fills. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film,\u201d Swift said, also giving props to Randy Newman \u201cfor the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you\u2019ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story <\/em>musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBy we, I mean myself and my pal Jack Antonoff\u201d Swift wrote. \u201cWe wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSwift is the latest major act to join the Toy Story<\/em> musical world, following the likes of Sarah McLachlan and Chris Stapleton. It\u2019s far from Swift\u2019s first time making a song for a film, having already contributed tracks like \u201cSafe and Sound\u201d for The Hunger Games <\/em>and \u201cToday Was A Fairy Tale\u201d for Valentine\u2019s Day. <\/em><\/p>\n
