Sharon Stone is opening up about what it was like filming in an underwater tank for months at a time<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
Stone shared details of the making of 1998’s Sphere<\/em>, which told the story of a team of scientists who discover a massive, seemingly alien spacecraft buried 1,000 feet deep in the Pacific Ocean<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n She said she was the only cast member on set who had a diving license before filming<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Sharon Stone<\/a> is sharing how her extracurricular interests have often assisted her work as an actor \u2014 like her deep-sea diving rescue license, which came in handy during the filming of the 1998 sci-fi Sphere<\/em>.<\/p>\n Speaking in an interview on Variety’s<\/em> Actors on Actors <\/a>with Keke Palmer,<\/a> Stone, 68, said the movie was “an underwater dive movie where I was in a dive tank for five-and-a-half-months.”<\/p>\n “We wore the bell diving suits, which were the ones with the bubble [around the head],” Stone added. “And you have to be weighted so that you stay down, and your oxygen is also on a hose to the surface because we were in tanks. So it wasn’t just our tanks.
