Kathy Hilton<\/strong><\/a> is no stranger to the public eye, enduring several ups and downs throughout her time in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Kathy is the eldest of three, with sisters Kim<\/strong> and Kyle Richards<\/strong> following in her famous footsteps. When Kathy first started to gain notoriety, she was a child actress appearing in several TV shows. However, she became a household name when marrying Rick Hilton<\/strong> in 1979.<\/p>\n

Kathy and Rick expanded their family with four kids, daughters Paris<\/strong> (born in 1981) and Nicky<\/strong> (born in 1983), and sons Barron<\/strong> (born in 1989) and Conrad<\/strong> (born in 1994).<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKathy Hilton kept her distance from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills until season 11, but that didn\u2019t mean her rocky relationship with Kyle Richards wasn\u2019t a topic of discussion on the Bravo series. When RHOBH premiered in 2010, Kyle was joined by sister Kim Richards \u2014 and by the end of the season, the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Early Acting Career<\/h2>\n

Kathy made her acting debut in 1970 with an episode of Nanny and the Professor<\/em>. Throughout the \u201870s, she appeared in several TV shows and movies, including On the Air Live with Captain Midnight<\/em>, Bewitched<\/em> and Happy Day<\/em>s.<\/p>\n

Multiple Business Ventures<\/h2>\n

In the 1980s and 1990s, Kathy opened and operated The Staircase on Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles. During the 2000s, she made her respective QVC and HSN debuts to sell her cosmetics. Since 2012, Kathy has designed the Kathy Hilton Collection of dresses.<\/p>\n

The \u2018American Woman\u2019 Feud<\/h2>\n

Kathy had a feud with sister Kyle stemming back to 2015. At the time, Kyle was developing the show American Woman<\/em>, which was loosely inspired by their mom, Kathleen Richards<\/strong>. When it aired in 2018, Kyle revealed that she and Kathy were in a bad place over the show, which only aired for one season. They reconciled the following year.<\/p>\n

The \u2018This Is Paris\u2019 Documentary<\/h2>\n

When Paris released her This Is Paris<\/em> documentary in 2020<\/a>, she detailed the alleged abuse and trauma she faced after being sent to several boarding schools as a kid. Kathy learned about what Paris allegedly endured while they filmed the documentary. Kathy got emotional while hugging Paris as they talked about what happened during her teen years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t tell you guys because every time I tried I got punished by them or they would say, \u2018We\u2019re just going to tell your parents you\u2019re a liar, and they\u2019re not going to believe you,\u2019\u201d Paris told Kathy. \u201cBasically they just told me that so many different times that I was afraid to even say anything or bring it up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iconic \u2018RHOBH\u2019 Moments<\/h2>\n

Kathy made her RHOBH<\/em> debut in 2021, which came with iconic lines like, \u201cWho is hunky-dory?\u201d Not to mention the introduction of \u201cThe Lady,\u201d who works at her house and when she crashed the runway during a fashion show. Or that one time Kathy thought that Garcelle Beauvais<\/strong> was her sister Kyle from afar.<\/p>\n

Kathy\u2019s iconic moments didn\u2019t stop when she became a \u201cfriend of\u201d either, because she still took a phone call in the middle of the season 15 reunion taping in 2026.<\/p>\n

The Aspen Incident<\/h2>\n

During RHOBH<\/em> season 12, Kathy was in the hot seat after an incident in Aspen that wasn\u2019t caught on camera. It caused issues between Kathy and Kyle, but also some with Lisa Rinna<\/strong>, who referred to Kathy as \u201cthe devil\u201d at the time.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t go through exactly what happened,\u201d Kathy told Us<\/em> in July 2022. \u201cI said some things because I was just venting in a personal conversation with someone and it was not filmed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKathy Hilton\u2019s friendship with the Kardashian-Jenner family goes way back \u2014 even before their reality TV days. \u201cWell, Kris [Jenner] and I were friends,\u201d Hilton, 66, said on the Wednesday, July 23, episode of \u201cCall Her Daddy,\u201d adding that they had known each other for \u201cyears\u201d back \u201cwhen the girls were little girls.\u201d She continued: [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

WeHo Pride Parade Drama<\/h2>\n

In June 2026, Kathy stepped away from her role as the West Hollywood Pride Parade after receiving backlash from the LGBTQ+ community<\/a> because of past ties to President Donald Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
